At a time when alpha generation is proving to be challenging, and institutional investors are increasingly focusing on absolute risks and returns,
EAI is designed to give research providers a commercial incentive to produce innovative and differentiated research that captures the value of corporate performance on
extra-finacial issues (EFIs) and intangibles. In so doing, research providers will be better meeting the needs of long-term investors and their clients/members.
EAI gives a commercial incentive to produce innovative and differentiated research. Total commissions for this project, at 5% of the total brokerage spend by current EAI members, are in the order of €8 millions for 2005.
The 5% brokerage commission for the project is allocated individually by each EAI member organisation on the basis of a formal evaluation of extra-financial research reports. This evaluation is conducted by independent and specialist consultancy onValues who acts as a neutral agent on behalf of EAI members.
